About Me

Afd
New Delhi, India
Our vision is to help change and build a system which is sensitive and just with marginalized children and women. We intervene in certain cases of children and women who are referred or who directly approach us. While we provide required support to the survivors, we also enable and empower them in the process to negotiate with the system and seek justice. Pratidhi came into existence as a collaborative effort between AFD and Delhi Police to help rehabilitation victims of crime mainly women and children. Over the years (since 1996), AFD-Pratidhi has evolved into a formidable advocacy group to inform, educate, enable and empower the stakeholders including the affected people and in the process influence and make the working of the system (Government) more sensitive and result oriented to the needs of the deprived women and children In our advocacy efforts, the main focus is on: 1. Combating Child Sexual Abuse. 2. Child Labour including bonded labour. 3. Child Trafficking including missing children
